Horn as a natural material offers an almost limitless range of applications.
At Edelhorn, our jewelry is shaped primarily by these four components:
Classic and timeless jewelry forms
Nature as a source of inspiration
The unique grain of horn
The latest fashion trends
The First Design Step
Usually begins on paper
Our design process typically starts with sketches on paper. We are inspired by classic shapes and lines that reflect timeless, always-stylish, and wearable jewelry.
Nature is a key inspiration for our designs. With its unique grain and naturally varied color tones, horn is the perfect foundation for exciting ideas and beautiful pieces.
Staying on top of fashion trends is important to Edelhorn—but we also place great value on creating elegant, timeless designs that bring lasting joy to our customers.
Production
Working with the natural material horn
The process begins by selecting the raw material.
We use only the highest-quality horn, which is meticulously boiled, cleaned, disinfected, and dried.
Next, the horn is cut in two, heated in an oven, and pressed flat.
From the resulting plates, each model is precisely cut using vector-based templates. Then comes the sanding—both mechanical and by hand—followed by fine polishing and careful final assembly of the jewelry.
